Many people debate as to where they should place their content, and how their keywords should be placed in the paragraphs. SEO demands keywords to be placed in the first 25 words of your paragraphs or titles.
Why is this?
If you think about reading a book, in the table of contents, what type of words are listed? This same ideology applies to SEO tactics. When considering placing your keywords in paragraphs, try mentioning them in the titles, as well as throughout the paragraph in moderation. This does not mean crowd your page with your keywords! For example, do not put: “Carlyn’s flower shop contains many flowers. If you look at the variety of flowers, the flowers will range in colours depending on the flower’s type. Flowers tend to…” Search Engines understand that your paragraph is about flowers, there is no need to flood the page with the same keyword as you will bore your viewer.
If your keyword is mentioned as many times as there are the number of people with their hands airborne in the above picture, fix your paragraph!
Keyword density, which is the ratio of how many times something is mentioned, should only be at about 2-3%. In today’s age, keyword density does not even have much of an impact. Due to the amount of repetition of keywords on websites providing no use, search engines had to take the majority of value out of keyword density. Although this is a difficult pill to swallow, what you can do is invest your time in properly placing your keywords in your titles, paragraphs.
